How we use your personal information

The information you provide to us is used to help us run the LAN effectively. We detail how we use each item below

• Name and Nickname - We use these so we know who you are at the LAN
• Email Address - We use this to keep in contact with you about the lan. We normally send an email to check theres nothing you want to know about the LAN you've signed up for. This is also used for the mailing list. Irrespective of if you choose to be included in the mailing list, we are likely to email you about the event you have signed up for, for example letting you know when the tournaments are, Your email address is not shared with anybody else, nor is it publicly displayed
• The mailing list - If you select you Wish to be on the mailing list, we will let you know of future LAN dates, This is generally 3-4 emails a year. You can, of course, remove yourself from the mailing list at any time.
• Instant Messenger - This will be used to we can have a chat to you before the LAN just to make sure your ok to get to the LAN, and give you a chance to ask any questions (Optional)
• Location - To allow us see if anybody needing a lift is close to you. We will email you directly if somebody wants a lift, rather than give them your email address (Optional)
• Mobile number - We ask for a mobile number because we've had a few people in the past sign up never to be heard from again, we would only phone / text you if you haven't replied to an email for a number of weeks to see if your no longer interested in coming to the LAN or its just your Internet connection that's died (Optional)
• Gigabit Nic - To allow us to plan the network.
